Clinical Injection Training Illustrations
Octreotide acetate for injectable suspension is a prescription medication used in clinical settings. Teva commissioned a specialist nurse training video with the goal of educating healthcare professionals on the correct administration of the drug. The brief required the creation of a series of illustrations to be used within the video. The key challenge was to produce visuals that were clear and easy to understand, while accurately representing each component in a precise, medically appropriate, and reassuring style.
I illustrated the elements, syringe, vial, needle protector, and lid, with a visual style primarily graphic, with subtle touches of realism, such as shadows and the transparency of plastic and glass. This balance ensures the components remain immediately recognisable while retaining enough abstraction to support clarity in an instructional context, as does not distract and helps to recognise the colours and shapes.
